Taber Special Needs Society owns and operates The Beary Patch and The Health Equipment Locker. These businesses were created to not only positively contribute to our community but to also provide employment and inclusivity for the individuals that Taber Special Needs Society supports.
The Beary Patch
The Beary Patch partners with local artisans and community members to sell items on consignment in our downtown retail store.
It provides opportunities for the individuals we support to use and demonstrate their abilities in inventory management, merchandising, and excellent customer service.
The Health Equipment Locker
The Health Equipment Locker is a medical equipment loan program where members of the community are able to borrow new and gently used health equipment such as crutches, wheelchairs, walkers, bed rails, commodes, and much more.
It benefits not only our community but also the individuals we support by building on their abilities of maintaining, servicing, and sanitizing equipment for safe usage.
